Maple Chocolate Banana Bread from Taylor King

Ingredients
• ½ cup maple syrup
• ⅓ cup softened butter
• 2 eggs
• 1 ½ cups (3-4 medium) overly ripe, mashed bananas
• 2 tablespoons water
• 1 tsp vanilla extract ****May substitute with 1 tsp Vanilla Bean Infused Maple Syrup*****
•1 ⅔ cups all purpose flour (or Bob’s red mill 1-to-1 gluten free flour)
• 1 tsp baking soda (2 tsp if using gluten free flour)
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp baking powder (½ tsp if using gluten free flour)
• chocolate chips (measure with your heart!)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease loaf pan. Mix butter and maple syrup together, then mix in eggs until blended. Add in mashed bananas, water, and vanilla - beat for 30 seconds. Add in remaining ingredients except for chocolate chips until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour into loaf pan and bake until a toothpick comes out clean - start with 50 min, then add time as needed (usually ends up being 55-60 min). Let cool for 10 minutes before loosening sides of loaf from pan with knife; remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing.
