Glastenview Maple Scones

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups Flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup quick oatmeal
2 Tablespoons baking powder 
3 Tablespoons Maple Sugar
2 Teaspoons salt
Glastenview Maple walnuts

Directions
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees

Mix together in large bowl or mixer

Add in 2 cups cubed cold butter
Blend on low until pea sized pieces 

In another bowl mix together 
1/2 cups cubed cold buttermilk 
1/2 cup Dark Robust maple syrup
4 eggs
Add all at once to above. Mix till just blended, dough will be sticky
Flour a surface and dump all at once all dough. Roll out until anout 3/4 inch thick.
Make sure hands and rolling pin are floured.
Cut out about 13-15 3inch rounds
Place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet, leave room in between.
Brush tops with egg wash (1 egg 1 Tbs cream)
Sprinkle with maple sugar 
Bake 20-25 minutes until lightly golden and the inside is done
Let cool for 10-15 minutes 
Drizzle with Glastenview maple cream or make a maple glaze ( 1 1/4 cup confectionary sugar, 4 Tbs melted butter, 1/3 cup maple syrup, pinch of salt. Mix together and drizzle on top).
Sprinkle with chopped fine Glastenview Maple walnuts
